WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE & AFTER LIMELIGHT

LimeLight Skin Rejuvenation
Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is well known these days for its beneficial effects on the skin. It is used for pigmentation reduction, facial capillaries, diffused redness, rosacea, skin rejuvenation, brown spots and sun damage.

The LimeLight difference
The limelight delivers a non-invasive light treatment that can be customized for different skin tones and aging skin conditions, offering the advantage of improving skin tone and surface imperfections associated with aging and sun damage. The result is an exceptionally effective skin rejuvenation treatment with minimal discomfort.

How many treatments will I need?
One to three treatments are usually sufficient to see results, although often additional treatments may be recommended to obtain optimal results, especially for excessively sun-damaged skin. Results will vary, but most people will see a significant improvement in the condition, especially if they combine the treatment with Vitamin A, C, E and anti-oxidant skin care. Treatments should be 4 weeks apart.

What happens after the treatment?
Immediately following treatment, brown spots will start to darken and your skin may appear slightly red. The skin will have a similar feel to being sun burnt. This typically lasts a few hours and can be covered with makeup.

What results can I expect to see?
Within one to three weeks, the darkened spots will flake off and fade. Diffuse redness or small veins will decrease and the complexion will be more even.

Will the spots and redness reappear over time?
New brown spots, fine veins and redness may appear with new sun damage; however they can be treated. The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated area when outdoors to minimize further sun damage and the appearance of new spots. Rosacea is chronic and cannot be ‘cured’ with any laser or light source; however its appearance can be improved.
