A native New Yorker, Dr. Michael E. Jackson has served the Brooklyn community for more than 25 years. As the founder and Director of Jackson Dermatology PLLC, he has designed and created a state of the art facility that blends the “Art of Healing” with the “Science” of Medicine.
Combining Art & Science began in Dr. Jackson’s undergraduate education where he completed training in electrical engineering and psychology from SUNY at Stony Brook University. He had subsequent training at SUNY Downstate School of Medicine and also Englewood Hospital in New Jersey where he trained in internal medicine. As a medical student and resident, Dr. Jackson studied under A. Paul Kelly, M.D. and Pearl Grimes, M.D., two of the pioneers and leading authorities in the care of ethnic skin disorders. As a result Dr. Jackson’s approach for challenging skin care concerns are safe and effective for patients of all skin types and ethnicities.

Dr Jackson is also known for his Dermatology research at the Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center with an emphasis on HIV Disease. Dr. Jackson completed his Dermatology training at SUNY Downstate medical Center as the first African American graduate from the Department of Dermatology. After graduating, Dr. Jackson became an integral member of the faculty where he trained countless residents and dermatologists and improved the quality of care provided by the department. In his time at Downstate, Dr. Jackson also served as the Co-Director of the Ethnic Skin Institute. Dr. Jackson is considered to be one of the foremost authorities in treating ethnic skin concerns. In fact, Dr. Jackson has received several awards and recognition for his tireless work and study in this field.

Dr. Jackson has published and lectured nationally and internationally on a variety of dermatology topics. He has vast national media experience both in print, radio and broadcast.
