What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a safe, gentle skin resurfacing treatment that is used to rejuvenate and restore the natural glow and complexion to the skin with little or no down-time. This non-surgical procedure removes the surface layers of the skin leaving it smooth and clean. This procedure is not very painful and is one option used in the treatment of fine wrinkles, mild acne scars, brown spots, age spots and stretch marks. Microdermabrasion can also be used for treatment of Acne, clogged and enlarged pores, Blackheads and Whiteheads, but must be repeated periodically to be effective.

What does it feel like?
During the microdermabrasion treatment, tiny crystals are sprayed out and vacuumed up through a hand piece. There may be some mild discomfort, described by some as similar to an emery board against the skin while others report that the experience is similar to a facial massage.

How many treatments will I need?
On average, 5-7 microdermabrasion treatments, spaced one week apart, are required and most people require a maintenance program to continue the effects.

How do I schedule the procedure?
All cosmetic procedures should be preceded by a consultation with the Physician, offering you the opportunity to learn more about these exciting procedures and to ask questions. We will need to reserve time to be able to perform the first treatment on the day of consultation.
